Shockwave therapy uses acoustic-wave energy delivered to a targeted area. It is a non-invasive option commonly considered for selected chronic tendon and soft-tissue problems that have been slow to improve.

When This Service May Be Considered
• Plantar fascia and heel complaints
• Selected tendon and overuse conditions
• Certain chronic soft-tissue complaints
• Musculoskeletal problems appropriate for acoustic-wave treatment

What to Expect
Not every painful condition is appropriate for shockwave therapy. We first evaluate the area and your history to determine whether it may be a reasonable option. When appropriate, shockwave may be combined with mobility work, strengthening or other services.
