Neck pain and stiffness may develop after prolonged computer work, repetitive activities, physical strain, an injury, or changes involving the joints, muscles, or discs of the cervical spine. Symptoms can make it difficult to turn your head, work comfortably, drive, exercise, or sleep.
At EvexiaRx - Large Chiropractic Associates, the first step is determining what may be contributing to the problem.

Patients may experience:

Evaluating Neck Pain
The evaluation considers the onset and location of symptoms, previous injuries, aggravating movements, occupational demands, and neurological symptoms.
Dr. Todd H. Large may assess cervical movement, joint function, posture, strength, mobility, and relevant musculoskeletal or neurological findings.
Care Options
Depending on the findings, care may incorporate chiropractic treatment, therapeutic exercise and rehabilitation, high-power laser therapy, or spinal decompression/traction for appropriately selected cervical or disc-related complaints.
The objective is not simply to treat the location where pain is felt but to develop a plan based on the examination findings and functional limitations.
When Medical Referral May Be Needed
Referral may be appropriate for severe trauma, progressive arm or hand weakness, significant neurological abnormalities, unexplained systemic symptoms, or other findings suggesting that conservative musculoskeletal care is not the appropriate first step.
Sudden severe neck pain accompanied by major neurological symptoms or other emergency warning signs requires prompt medical attention.
